Savills Investment Management has appointed Pierre Escande as head of investment of France and Benelux (Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg).
In his new role, Escande will be responsible for originating new investment opportunities in those regions.
In the past year and a half, Savills IM has completed approximately €500 million ($556 million) of transactions in France and Benelux, of which €450 million ($500 million) were acquisitions. The firm’s total assets under management in the region are valued at more than €900 million ($1.0 billion).
Savills IM recently acquired two designer outlet centers in Troyes, France, and Roubaix, France, for around €300 million ($334 million). The firm also purchased a distribution center in Belleville-Sur-Saône, France, on behalf of Savills IM’s pan-European Logistics Fund. In the past week, Savills IM acquired an office building in the center of Brussels on behalf of its flagship European Commercial Fund.
