San Mateo County (Calif.) Employees’ Retirement Association (SAMCERA) has invested $30 million with Stockbridge Core and Value Advisors, IREI has learned.
SAMCERA, a pension fund based in Redwood City, Calif., approved the commitment to Stockbridge Value Fund IV at its Aug. 25 board meeting. The pension fund could not be reached to comment on the investment at the time of publication.
Launched in November 2019, Stockbridge Value Fund IV is targeting $500 million in capital commitments, according to IREI’s FundTracker database. The fund will invest in a mixture of office, industrial, retail and multifamily properties.
SAMCERA’s investment follows on the heels of the Montana Board of Investments, which made a $50 million commitment to the value-add real estate fund in June.
