San Francisco office sales volume reaches $5.3b in 2016

Office property sales in San Francisco during 2016 totaled more than $5.3 billion, according CBRE.

The city’s office transaction volume was below recent highs achieved in 2014 and 2012, but investor demand maintained momentum as domestic and international buyers acquired 36 office buildings across the city. On a price-per-square-foot basis, the average class A sales price reached an all-time high of $788 per square foot; correspondingly, the highest sales price exceeded $1,200 per square foot.
