San Francisco Employees’ Retirement System (ERS) has disclosed a $75 million commitment to Cabot Industrial Value Fund VI, managed by Cabot Properties, for its real assets portfolio.

The investment was a new commitment, a spokesperson for the pension fund told IREI in an email.

Launched in July 2019, the value-add real estate fund invests in industrial assets and portfolios in North America and the United Kingdom. It is targeting $800 million in capital commitments.

Investors in the fund include the State Universities Retirement System of Illinois, the Teachers’ Retirement System of Louisiana and the Pennsylvania Public School Employees’ Retirement System, which committed $50 million, $75 million and $100 million, respectively.

San Francisco ERS has a 15.6 percent allocation to real estate, with a target of 17 percent to the asset class.
