Sacramento County commits $35m to Asana Partners real estate fund

The $9.2 billion Sacramento County (Calif.) Employees’ Retirement System has committed $35 million to Asana Partners Fund II, according to board meeting documents.

Asana Partners Fund II is a value-added real estate fund. Through its funds, the firm invests in distinctive retail properties in dynamic urban markets in the United States. According to a filing with the SEC, the firm seeks to raise $800 million for the fund.

Sacramento County has a target allocation to real estate of 7 percent and an actual allocation of 8.7 percent.
