by Kali Persall

Sack Properties, a San Francisco–based real estate investment and management firm, has promoted David Feinberg to CIO.

Feinberg had served as Sack’s director of acquisitions and dispositions since joining the firm in 2017. Prior to that, he worked as vice president of acquisitions with Sares Regis, leading $333 million in apartment transactions for value-add multifamily properties in the San Francisco Bay Area and Pacific Northwest, according to Sack Properties.

“During David’s tenure, we have expanded our platform to invest up and down the West Coast, from San Diego to Seattle,” said Kirby Sack, CEO of Sack Properties. “David has been a key leader, greatly benefiting our ongoing expansion of the firm’s multifamily portfolio.”

Feinberg also worked as vice president of acquisitions at RREEF and vice president at Sterling Education Properties, where he was responsible for student housing acquisitions. His career started with Archstone Smith, where he was in the acquisitions group.

Feinberg has a bachelor's degree from the University of Puget Sound and a master of business administration from Northwestern University – Kellogg.

Sack Properties has a $750 million portfolio of roughly 2,500 multifamily units throughout the West Coast.
