Ryan Kaplan has joined Strategic Value Partners as a managing director to focus on real estate investment activities across North America. Kaplan will be based in the firm’s Greenwich, Conn., headquarters.
Kaplan joins SVP from Goldman Sachs, where he served as a managing director on the real estate investing team. Based in Los Angeles, he led the group’s Los Angeles office and West Coast investing efforts and was responsible for deploying capital across asset classes. Prior to Goldman Sachs, Kaplan held roles at Healthpeak Properties in Los Angeles and Nashville.
