Rossitsa Stoyanova joins Investment Management Corp. of Ontario as its new CIO

The C$73.7 billion ($58 billion) Investment Management Corp. of Ontario (IMCO) has appointed Rossitsa Stoyanova as its new CIO, effective Sept. 13.

Stoyanova succeeds CIO Jean Michel, who is leaving the firm on Sept. 10 to pursue other opportunities.

Stoyanova was most recently managing director and head of portfolio design and construction at CPP Investments, Canada’s largest pension fund, where she also oversaw the fund’s risk appetite and allocation. Prior to this, she was at GE Energy Financial Services, where she was responsible for due diligence and structuring acquisitions in the power sector. She also worked in Assurance and Advisory Services at Deloitte & Touche in Chicago.

In her new role at IMCO, Stoyanova will report to Bert Clark, president and CEO, and will be based in the firm’s Toronto office.
