Real I.S. has purchased the two buildings that comprise part of the Kontorhaus complex in Berlin. The deal represents the third acquisition for Real I.S. AG’s open-ended real estate fund for private individuals, Real I.S. Invest Europa.
Real I.S. Invest Europa was launched in 2019 with the goal of assembling an initial portfolio comprising five properties worth around €300 million ($328 million). Real I.S. said the fund is to be broadly diversified in Europe in terms of usage and location in business core and core-plus properties, supplemented by manage-to-core properties.
Two investments have already been made in the Netherlands on behalf of the fund.
The latest acquisition, the two parts of the Kontorhaus complex, comprise a total rental area of 7,745 square meters (83,366 square feet), the majority of which consists of office rental space. The complex also includes the Maximillians restaurant, as well as retail space, storage rooms and 62 parking spaces.
