Raith Capital Partners, the New York City–based private investment firm focused on commercial real estate debt and equity investments, has launched a new real estate fund, according to a filing with the SEC. The fund did not comment on its fundraising efforts.
Raith Real Estate Fund II is an opportunistic real estate fund that will invest in debt secured by U.S. properties, including investment-grade and non-investment-grade CMBS, whole loans, and mezzanine loans. The fund has already raised $92 million, according to the filing.
Raith Real Estate Fund II previously received a $50 million commitment from the $11.7 billion New Mexico Educational Retirement Board.
The fund’s predecessor, Raith Real Estate Fund I, held a $75 million final close in 2014, below its $225 million target, according to IREI’s FundTracker database.
