QIC submits planning application for $495m mixed-use vertical village in Brisbane

QIC has submitted a development application to Economic Development Queensland (EDQ) for a premier A$750 million ($495 million) mixed-use commercial development in Brisbane, Australia.

The application proposes 40 stories of next-generation workplace accommodation composed of best-in-class retail and dining concepts throughout the vertical village and a generous public and civic realm that can be used year-round.

With a total site area of 2,500 square meters (26,910 square feet), the development will consist of 45,000 square meters (484,376 square feet) of prime-grade office and mixed-use space. Thirty-one stories are proposed for office use, designed to suit a range of tenants through varying configurations, and it also includes nearly 4,000 square meters (43,055 square feet) of outdoor space.
