Publix to build $400m distribution center in N.C.

Grocery store chain Publix Super Markets plans to build a $400 million refrigerated distribution center in Greensboro, N.C.

The 1.8 million-square-foot center will be one of the largest distribution centers in the Piedmont Triad and will sit on approximately 350 acres.

Construction on the $300 million first phase of the center will begin in 2020. It is projected to be completed and open by 2022.
