Private equity real estate veterans Russ Bates and Gregg Christiansen have launched Cedar Hall Capital.
The newly formed real estate asset management company offers select institutional investors, family offices and high-net-worth investors access to investment opportunities in North America with a focus on positive demographic strategies and dynamic growth neighborhoods as well as tax-advantaged investments into U.S. opportunity zones.
Bates spent the past 10 years as the head of the Americas for the real estate multi-manager group at Aviva Investors, where he co-launched a program focused on real estate joint ventures and co-investments and joined LaSalle Global Partner Solutions (GPS) in the same role following its acquisition of the Aviva platform. Prior to Aviva, he was a co-founder of Madison Harbor Capital and president of its primary fund that was registered under the Investment Company Act of 1940, both of which were sold to Aviva in 2008.
