Principal Asset Management announced that Richard Hill has joined the firm as global head of real estate research and strategy. In this role, Hill will work across portfolio teams on capital allocation strategies developed through a relative value framework. He will also lead the real estate global research team with responsibility for delivering the house economic and real estate views to clients.
Hill joins Principal with 24 years of industry experience, most recently serving as head of real estate strategy and research at Cohen & Steers Capital Management. Throughout his career, he has led real estate investment strategy and portfolio management, advising global institutional clients, developing proprietary valuation models, optimizing asset allocation and driving thought leadership on market trends and innovation.
