Portfolio Advisors Real Estate Fund VIII captures $236m

Portfolio Advisors has raised more than $236 million for its closed-end fund Portfolio Advisors Real Estate Fund VIII fund, according to a May 4 filing with the SEC.

Portfolio Advisors Real Estate Fund VIII will invest in secondaries and direct coinvestment transactions in the private real estate sector, predominantly in the United States.

The fund’s predecessor, Fund VII, closed in January 2020 with $237.6 million in capital commitments. The previous vehicle, Fund VI, closed in 2017 with $485 million.

A fundraising target for Fund VIII was not disclosed.
