PFA pension group CEO steps down

by Kali Persall

Allan Polack, group CEO of Denmark’s PFA Pension, has resigned after seven years in the role.

PFA Pension said the change is a natural part of a generational succession, and the executive-management team will ensure PFA’s continued development with a new group CEO. Group EVP Mads Kaagaard has been appointed interim group CEO while the team finds Polack’s successor.

From 2016 to 2018, Kaagaard was in charge of private customers and business support, and  since 2018 has been responsible for products and development.

“I am very pleased that Mads Kaagaard has agreed to take on the responsibility as interim group CEO,” said Peder Hasslev, chairman of the board of directors at PFA. “Mads knows every corner of PFA and has had a strong career within the company. With his experience and knowledge of PFA, Mads is the right candidate to lead PFA until a new permanent group CEO has been found.”

PFA said it expects to be able to announce a new group CEO
