Pat Kendall joins Ascentris

Pat Kendall has accepted a position as a managing director with Ascentris.

As managing director of Ascentris, Kendall will be responsible for expanding the organization’s client and consultant base.

Previously, Kendall was at Barings Real Estate Advisers, formerly known as Cornerstone Real Estate Advisers, as a senior director since 2003. While at Barings, he was responsible for business development and client relations in the western United States for all the company’s real estate offerings. Kendall joined Cornerstone Real Estate Advisers, in March 2003 as vice president, marketing, responsible for business development and client relations in the western United States. Cornerstone merged with Barings in 2016. Before his time at Cornerstone, he was an investment officer with PM Realty Advisors located in Newport Beach, Calif., and was also with CBRE for more than 12 years located in Denver.

Kendall graduated from the University of Southern California with a bachelor of science in business and has an Master of Business Administration from Pepperdine University.

In separate news, Ascentris hired Jeffrey Stonger to serve as a managing director of the company. Stonger will help lead new strategic growth initiatives for the firm and will also be responsible for acquiring and managing investments across the United States, with a focus on new opportunities in Texas.

Prior to joining Ascentris, Stonger was a managing director at Amstar, a real estate firm owned by a European-based family office. Stonger spent 10 years with Amstar, serving in multiple roles across both the United States and European investment platforms; he was responsible for sourcing and acquisitions, asset management and capital raising. During his tenure, he was also head of Europe where he was the portfolio manager for two commingled funds and responsible for managing and expanding the company’s investment platform in Central and Eastern Europe. Before his role in Europe, Stonger focused on U.S. investments across multiple property types and chaired the company’s valuation committee.
