Oxford Properties names new Asia Pacific business head

by Jennifer Molloy

Alessandro Fiascaris has been named senior vice president, Asia Pacific, at Oxford Properties Group, the real estate investment arm of OMERS, the Canadian defined benefit pension plan for Ontario's municipal employees.

Fiascaris, who is based in Singapore, will lead Oxford’s Asia Pacific business and team. He joins Oxford from Blackstone, where he had spent his career, most recently as a managing director in Singapore.

Oxford’s presence in the Asia Pacific region has grown considerably in recent years. With its portfolio companies, Oxford manages more than $10 billion of capital in Asia Pacific.

Oxford has grown its footprint in Asia Pacific through a variety of direct and indirect investments as well as its investment in Austalia’s Investa platform in 2020. Last year, Oxford provided the financial backing to Investa to launch Indi, a build-to-rent residential platform in Australia.
