Oregon Investment Council invests in DivcoWest, Harrison Street funds

The Oregon Investment Council (OIC) has earmarked $350 million for two real estate funds, Rachel Wray, public information officer for the Oregon State Treasury, has confirmed.

Oregon approved a $200 million commitment to DivcoWest Fund VI, managed by DivcoWest Real Estate, and $150 million for a Co-Investment Sidecar to Harrison Street Property Fund, managed by Harrison Street. The Harrison Street co-investment vehicle will invest alongside the fund but only in co-investment opportunities within the fund.

Launched in September, DivcoWest is seeking $2 billion to invest in real estate within the San Francisco Bay Area. The Massachusetts Pension Reserves Investment Management Board (Mass PRIM) and the Teacher Retirement System of Texas have also invested in the fund. This appears to be OIC’s first investment in DivcoWest Fund VI.
