OP&F nears real estate portfolio target allocation in 2018

The $15 billion Ohio Police & Fire Pension Fund investment reported its third-quarter 2018 performance.

Results showed the real estate portfolio saw a net return of 1.9 percent for the quarter and 11.2 percent for the 12 months ended Sept. 30, 2018. The real estate portfolio is valued at $1.75 billion, or 11.9 percent, of the total portfolio. The target allocation for real estate is 12 percent.

The real assets portfolio continues in the early stages of development for OP&F.

Real assets (consisting of timber, infrastructure and agriculture investments) is currently valued at $376 million, or 2.6 percent, of the total portfolio. The target allocation for the asset class is 8 percent.
