The State Teachers Retirement System (STRS) of Ohio saw a 29.2 percent return on investments for fiscal year 2021.
As of June 30, total investment assets exceeded $94.8 billion, bringing the fund’s assets under management up by $17.7 billion during the 2021 fiscal year and more than $24 billion since the March 2020 lows.
Real estate returned a net 8 percent, compared to its benchmark of 11.6 percent. As of June 30, Ohio STRS had an 8.5 percent allocation to real estate.
