Ohio pension fund commits $117m to real estate

The $12.14 billion School Employees Retirement System of Ohio has committed $117.4 million to two real estate funds, according to recent meeting documents.

The pension fund committed $75 million to UBS Trumbull Property Income Fund, an open-end core real estate fund managed by UBS Asset Management. The fund has also received commitments this year from the $2.7 billion State of Idaho Endowment Fund Investment Board and the $345 million Anchorage Police & Fire Retirement System.

Ohio SERS additionally committed €40 million ($42.4 million) to Rockspring TransEuropean Property VI. Rockspring Property Investment Managers
