Oaktree Capital Management plans to launch a Real Estate Income Fund, according to a Feb. 7 conference call to discuss the firm’s fourth quarter earnings. The evergreen fund will focus primarily on value-added and core-plus investments generating higher current income, primarily in U.S. markets.
Also in 2017, Oaktree Capital plans to continue fundraising for its Infrastructure Fund I and its various real estate vehicles, including Real Estate Debt Fund II and separate accounts for its value-added real estate strategy, according to the firm’s management. But the firm’s management would not venture to provide a projection for fundraising volume during the next two years.
