NYSTRS commits $460m to real estate funds

The New York State Teachers’ Retirement System (NYSTRS) has made three commitments to real estate funds totaling $460 million.

NYSTRS committed €200 million ($235 million) to Aermont Capital Real Estate Fund VI, a program of Aermont Capital. Aermont Capital Real Estate Fund VI invests in opportunistic real estate investments in Western Europe. A fundraising target has not been disclosed. Aermont Capital Real Estate Fund V, its predecessor, closed with €3.8 billion ($4.4 billion) in equity in 2022.

Raith Real Estate Fund IV, managed by Raith Capital Partners, received $75 million for its closed-end, value-added/opportunistic strategy. This fund invests in properties in the United States.
