Novo Holdings acquires minority stake in NREP

by Kali Persall

Novo Holdings has become a minority shareholder in NREP, the largest Nordic real estate investor, with the acquisition of a 25 percent stake. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Novo Holdings is the first external investor in NREP, a partner-based company. The investment builds on an existing relationship between the two parties, dating back to 2018, when Novo Holdings made its first investment in one of NREP’s real estate funds.

“We have worked closely with NREP, and we are convinced of the long-term sustainability of the company’s concepts, financially as well as socially and environmentally,” said Morten Beck Jorgensen, managing partner for financial investments at Novo Holdings. “Real estate risks facing some challenging years, but it is under such conditions that NREP’s innovative business concepts — combining financial performance, customer focus and sustainability — will be able to stand out and exploit the opportunities that will arise.”
