Northlight Real Estate Opportunity Fund III secures $40m

New York–based Northlight Financial has raised $40 million for its Northlight Real Estate Opportunity Fund III from six investors, according to a document filed with the SEC on April 2.

Northlight Real Estate Opportunity Fund III has a fundraising target of $250 million, according to the filing.

Northlight is a corporate lender and asset-based investor managing corporate loans, real estate and private equity investments. Within real estate, Northlight seeks mispriced opportunities deployed either through debt or equity purchases.

The firm focuses on acquiring income-producing and non-income-producing office, industrial, retail and lodging properties, as well as land development opportunities. Investment sizes range from $10 million to $100 million.
