New Hampshire Retirement System earmarks $100m for private real estate in FY2021

by Kali Persall

New Hampshire Retirement System (NHRS) is planning $100 million in real estate investments in fiscal year 2021, IREI has learned. The retirement system will make five to 10 investments in real estate funds.

NHRS could not be reached for comment at the time of publication.

The plans follow on the heels of a search for an investment consultant launched by NHRS in May, with the contract to take effect on Jan. 1, 2021. The fund was seeking interested firms to apply to serve in one of the following capacities: general investment consultant, which involves traditional assets and asset allocation services; alternative investment consultant, which involves nondiscretionary alternative investment consulting; or comprehensive investment consulting, which refers to both services.
