Nashville pension fund seeks general pension investment consultant

The Metropolitan Government of Nashville & Davidson County Employee Benefit Trust Fund has launched an RFP for a general pension investment consultant.

The trust fund is seeking a highly qualified independent firm to assist the Office of the Treasurer in advising the investment committee regarding the management of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County Employee Benefit System (MEBS).

The Metropolitan Treasurer's Office, on behalf of the system's assets, will oversee the relationship with the general consultant and develop the advice and recommendations presented to the investment committee. The contractor will provide independent investment advice and services to the Office of the Treasurer and investment committee.

The firm must be registered with the SEC and should not have fund of funds, secondary or co-investment fund business in private equity or hedge funds. In addition, the firm should have $45 billion or more in assets under ad
