Multifamily assets claim top favorite for Americas investors in 2016

Americas investors will be active this year in both acquisitions and dispositions, and they intend to retreat on the risk curve, becoming slightly more conservative in strategy and risk appetite, according to the CBRE Americas Investor Intentions Survey 2016.

Specifically, 81 percent of Americas investors intend to maintain or increase their purchasing activity this year. The largest share of investors (42 percent) anticipates 2016 acquisitions volume to be approximately the same as in the previous year. The next largest share (39 percent) intend to increase their purchasing activity in 2016 compared to last year. This percentage is lower than the 49 percent recorded in 2015, but still quite high.
