Montana Board of Investments commits $150m to Walton core debt fund

The Montana Board of Investments (MBOI) has committed a total of $150 million to Walton Street Real Estate Debt Core Fund via its Consolidated Asset Pension Pool and Trust Funds Investment Pool, according to meeting notes from Aug. 28.

The commitment was to the Walton Street Real Estate Debt Core Fund. The fund will invest in core debt, according to the IREI.Q database.

The fund’s manager, Walton Street Capital, has invested in and managed more than $11.5 billion in debt opportunities, according to the firm’s website. The firm is focused on originating and investing in performing U.S.-based, private commercial real estate debt across the risk spectrum.
