Montana Board of Investments sticks $50m in Marcus Partners Fund IV

by Kali Persall

The Montana Board of Investments (MBI) has disclosed a new $50 million commitment to Marcus Partners Fund IV, a value-add real estate fund managed by Marcus Partners.

Marcus Partners Fund IV will invest in a portfolio of office, medical office, biomedical and light-industrial properties, primarily located in major suburban East Coast markets. The fund’s predecessor, Marcus Capital Partners Fund III, completed a final closing in January 2021 with $360 million in capital commitments, exceeding both its original $300 million fundraising target and $350 million hard cap. A fundraising target for Fund IV could not be confirmed at the time of publication.

The Arlington County (Va.) Employees Retirement System, the Delaware Public Employees’ Retirement System and the Texas County & District Retirement System also have contributed to the fundraise.
