by Kali Persall

Meridia Capital, an independent investment firm, has partnered with $717 billion United States–based asset manager Franklin Templeton to act as the exclusive adviser in Spain and Portugal for its recently launched pan-European Social Infrastructure Fund.

As the exclusive adviser in Spain and Portugal, Merida Capital will source opportunities and offer guidance for the fund throughout the investment process.

With a focus on core assets, the fund invests in real estate assets within the healthcare, education, social housing sectors with the potential for social and environmental impact.

It will reportedly aim to create a portfolio diversified by sector, geographic location, tenant, asset strategy and lease expiry.
