Mercer secures $4.8b for sixth vintage in PIP series

by Kali Persall

Mercer has raised $4.8 billion of commitments for its Mercer Private Investment Partners VI (PIP VI) fund. The capital came from corporate-pension funds, public-pension funds, insurance companies, and endowments and foundations from Europe, North America, Asia Pacific and Africa.

PIP VI is the sixth vintage in Mercer’s PIP series and is designed to offer investors access to a wide spectrum of asset classes across private markets, including private equity, private debt, infrastructure, real estate and sustainable opportunities.

PIP VI increased in assets by 78 percent compared to the fund’s predecessor, PIP V, which raised $2.7 billion.
