MedProperties raises $46m for latest healthcare fund
MedProperties Holdings, a Dallas-based private equity firm that invests in healthcare real estate, has raised $45.8 million in capital commitments for its value-add, opportunistic fund, MedProperties Fund III.
MedProperties Fund III is seeking to raise $250 million to invest in healthcare and medical office properties throughout the United States.
According to the latest document filed with the SEC on March 5, the fund has received commitments from 60 investors to date.
MedProperties has capitalized three closed-end funds, to date, according to the firm’s website. The firm started marketing for MedProperties Fund III, the most recent fund in the series, in April 2018.
In addition to its closed-end opportunity funds, the firm said it also invests through separately financed investment vehicles in stabilized, and near stabilized, healthcare properties offering core and core-plus returns.
