MEAG takes ownership of Brussels office asset

MEAG has acquired an office building in Brussels.

The acquisition was made through a share deal for a special real estate fund in which Munich Re Group investors are invested. The seller of the property is the Belgian project developer REDET. A sales price was not disclosed.

The property, 78-79 Boulevard Poincaré, is located at the Midi train station in the Brussels South district and comprises office space of approximately 6,788 square meters (73,065 square feet) throughout six floors and 87 parking spaces. The building is fully leased on a long-term basis to two tenants.

As part of an extensive restructuring, the fit-out will be completed by the end of the year for the main tenant, VEOLIA, which will move into its space in January 2023. The second tenant, VK Engineering, moved into the building in May 2021.
