Matt Whitby has joined Sumner Capital as a principal of the business, partnering with the long-term owner and other principal Kirby Parsonage. Whitby will be responsible for the Sydney-based firm’s investment and capital management, for both existing and new clients, with a focus on origination, product development and fund mandates.
“Having recently reached our 10-year anniversary, I believe now is the opportune time to bring an experienced and highly regarded property professional into the team, particularly as we all navigate through these uncertain times,” said Parsonage in a statement. “We are thrilled to have Matt on board to add his commercial acumen, depth of relationships and positive approach to the platform, perfectly complementing the existing Sumner Capital team.”
