Massachusetts-based pension searches for infrastructure manager

by Jody Barhanovich

The $665 million Plymouth County (Mass.) Retirement Association is searching for an infrastructure manager, according to an RFP.

The new manager will manage $15 million to $30 million in a global core or noncore private-market infrastructure strategy, with the ability to manage a diversified strategy that invests in private market global infrastructure investments.

Plymouth County intends to commit approximately $10 million to $30 million. Only proposals for experienced managers of core and noncore private-market infrastructure portfolios will be considered. First-time funds, public equity and sector-specific strategies will not be considered.

Meketa Investment Group, investment consultant to the pension fund, is assisting with the search. Proposals are due Feb. 24. A hiring date was not disclosed.
