The Maryland State Retirement and Pension System has listed a 6.46 percent earnings on its investments for the fiscal year ending June 30, the pension fund announced on July 31.
The system had an actuarial return rate of 7.45 percent.
The system had a 13.3 percent allocation to real assets, which includes real estate, and saw a return of 5.3 percent.
As of March 31, the real assets portfolio had a market value of $7.3 billion. The pension system listed 14 percent as its long-term policy allocation.
