Maris LeBlanc has taken over as executive director of the Louisiana Municipal Employees Retirement System (MERS), following the retirement of Warren Ponder on March 1.
LeBlanc previously served as deputy director of the Louisiana State Employees’ Retirement System for a period of 14 years, before retiring in June 2020.
Prior to that, she also held positions at the Louisiana Division of Administration and the Louisiana Ethics Administration, according to her LinkedIn profile.
