Boston-based Marcus Partners has launched a second fund, Marcus Capital Partners Fund II, with a $250 million target, according a filing with the SEC. The value-added fund held a first close on March 20, raising $43.75 million.
The firm’s debut fund, Marcus Capital Partners Fund I, closed in 2009 with $210 million in equity commitments. It pursued diversified investments, including office, bio-medical, medical office and light industrial properties. It can invest up to $400 million in value-oriented real estate or related assets. The company’s target individual deal size ranges from $10 million to $130 million.
