Mapletree Logistics Trust acquires three assets in Malaysia, Vietnam

Mapletree Logistics Trust (MLT) has plans to acquire a logistics property in Malaysia and two logistics assets in Vietnam from subsidiaries of the REIT’s sponsor, Mapletree Investments.

The sales prices of the Malaysia logistics property in Kuala Lumpur and Vietnam properties are S$157.9 million ($117.4 million) and S$68.4 million ($50.9 million).

The acquisitions will increase MLT’s exposure in Malaysia and Vietnam from 24 assets to 27 assets.

The Vietnam properties are located in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi. And they are located near  Binh Duong province’s Mapletree Logistics Park 3, an established hub for industrial and logistics, and Hung Yen province’s Hung Yen Logistics Park I.

The Malaysian property is located in Shah Alam, one of the country’s major industrial regions
