Madison Realty Capital Debt Fund V hits $680m

Madison Realty Capital Debt Fund V, a value-add fund managed by Madison Realty Capital, has received $679.7 million in equity commitments, according to an SEC Form D filed on March 11. The fund was backed by 55 investors.

Madison Realty Capital’s investor base for the debt platform currently consists of corporate and public pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, university endowments, foundations, insurance companies, fund of funds and high-net-worth individuals, according to the firm’s website.

An equity fundraising target was not disclosed in the filing.

The firm pursues debt investments by originating senior secured loans, mezzanine loans and preferred equity investments for the construction, acquisition and refinancing of commercial real estate, and by acquiring non-performing loans and preferred equity investments, according to the firm’s website.
