IREI has learned that Madison International Realty has completed a final close for its seventh opportunity fund, Madison International Real Estate Liquidity Fund VII, with $1.2 billion in capital commitments.
The firm could not be reached to comment on its fundraising activity.
Launched in 2017, the fund was targeting up to $1.5 billion in capital.
As of April 2019, Madison International Real Estate Liquidity Fund VII had raised just $163.5 million, according to an SEC filing. Madison said it was one of four parallel vehicles in the offering. Combined with the other three vehicles — Fund VII and two non-U.S. vehicles — the total offering amount was $1.3 billion at the time of the filing.
