Macquarie Asset Management has acquired the final asset in a €190 million ($229 million) logistics real estate portfolio in Poland on behalf of Bayerische Versorgungskammer (BVK), Germany’s largest pension fund.
The 276,000-square-meter (3 million-square-foot) portfolio is comprised of 12 modern logistics facilities at the Hillwood Marki, 7R Park Kokotow, and 7R Park Tczew logistics parks in Warsaw, Kraków and Tricity. The portfolio was acquired in several stages from 2019 with the acquisition of its final asset, the 21,500-square-meter (231,420-square-foot) Building C at the Hillwood Marki Logistics Park, closing this month.
Macquarie Asset Management acquired the portfolio from Hillwood and 7R. The prime logistics properties were developed between 2017 and 2020 and are 100 percent leased to ecommerce, light production and third-party logistics businesses.
