Louisiana pension fund hires AndCo as investment consultant

The $1.1 billion Baton Rouge (La.) & Parish of East Baton Rouge Employees' Retirement System has selected AndCo Consulting as its new investment consultant.

Earlier in the year, the pension fund had landed on Wilshire Associates, an investment management firm in Santa Monica, Calif., following an invitation-only search process. However the board failed to come to acceptable terms with the consulting group.

AndCo had served as interim consultant since October, after purchasing Summit Strategies Group, the pension fund’s incumbent consultant.

The Louisiana pension system was unavailable to comment on the selection process.

As of June 30, 2018, it reported a 6.4 percent allocation to real estate.
