Camden Market, famed for its market, a warren of fashion and curiosities by the Regent’s Canal in London, has been placed on the market for £1.5 billion (€1.76 billion/$1.88 billion), reported Financial Times.
Financial adviser Rothschild & Co has been appointed by Israeli billionaire Teddy Sagi, the founder of the gambling software company Playtech. The owner acquired it in 2014 through portfolio company LabTech.
Camden Market, an outdoor market in Camden Town, covers 16 acres in northwest London. It is a popular tourist destination and attracts 28 million visitors annually. It comprises Stables Market, Camden Lock, and Buck Street Market, as well as housing and co-working spaces.
