by Kali Persall

Robert Branagh has been promoted from managing director to CEO at the London Pensions Fund Authority (LPFA).

Branagh has more than 25 years in commercial, finance, governance, operations, legal and sales environments, according to his LinkedIn page. He has worked at LPFA since 2018.

The appointment is the latest in a series of hires for LPFA’s management team.

“Robert’s new role reflects the next stage in the LPFA’s evolution,” said John Preston, LPFA chairman, in a press release. “We have recruited a team of highly motivated colleagues to ensure that our organization continues to deliver value for money, high-quality customer service and meet our and LPP’s obligations to members and employers.”

Preston noted that Branagh’s primary responsibilities will be to lead the development of LPFA’s strategic direction, as well as its responsible investing and sustainability practices.

Prior to LPFA, he served as chairman at Armed Forces
