London CIV commits $63.1m to Octopus Affordable Housing Fund

London CIV has made a £50 million ($63.1 million) commitment to Octopus Affordable Housing Fund (Octopus AHF).

Octopus AHF will invest in affordable housing and older persons homes in areas across the United Kingdom.

The commitment comes from the LCIV UK Housing Fund, an investment pool launched by London CIV in March 2023 that was created to allow its 32 pension funds to invest in attractive affordable housing opportunities.

The £50 million ($63.1 million) commitment to Octopus AHF comes after a £100 million ($126.2 million) commitment in May to CBRE UK Affordable Housing Fund (CBRE UK AHF).

CBRE UK AHF is seeking to deliver affordable and sustainable housing in areas of need, for those unable to afford to rent or buy in the open market.
