Lendlease to build €176m events hub in England

Lendlease has plans to build a €175.7 million ($190.5 million) events hub in Gateshead, a town in the Metropolitan Borough of Gateshead in Tyne and Wear, England.

The conference complex is the first phase of the delayed €410 million ($445 million) Sage development, which will also include an arena and new hotel.

The conference center, set to be operated by ASM Global, will include 5,720 square meters (61,570 square feet) of exhibition space, 2,520 square meters (27,125 square feet) of adaptable meeting space, 17 conference rooms and a banqueting suite.

The conference center is scheduled to open in 2025.
