The $315 million Lancaster County (Pa.) Employees' Retirement System has renewed its contract with investment consultant Marquette Associates, following a request for proposals (RFP) issued in June 2019.
The RFP was launched ahead of Marquette Associates’ looming contract expiration on Dec. 31. The consultant was re-hired because Lancaster’s board felt the organization was the best fit for the plan, Brian Hurter, controller for the County of Lancaster, told IREI in an email. Other applicants included AndCo Consulting and Cornerstone Independent Asset Management.
The term of agreement began on Jan. 1 and will remain in effect through Dec. 31, 2022.
Hurter noted that Lancaster County has a 10 percent allocation to the real estate asset class.
